Dan Clark Audio, formerly known as MrSpeakers, was founded in 2012 by Dan Clark, whose lifelong passion for audio began at a young age. After earning a BS in engineering and an MBA, Dan spent 30 years in high-tech roles at companies such as Apple, Compaq, and Sun Microsystems. However, his true passion remained in music and audio engineering. In 2012, Dan founded MrSpeakers, initially modifying headphones from other manufacturers while developing his own designs. His first groundbreaking product, the Alpha Dog, was the world’s first 3D-printed headphone, which helped fund the development of the ETHER. This marked the beginning of MrSpeakers' success in creating award-winning planar magnetic headphones. Rebranded as Dan Clark Audio in 2019, the company has since become an industry leader, earning numerous patents and accolades for its innovative products.
